Life ... in Haiku
by Suzanne Hadley Gosselin on 07/26/2010 at 5:00 PM

I really enjoyed your self-descriptions in 30 words or fewer. For some reason, that type of exercise seems to reveal the things we have in common -- we love Jesus, we like to talk, we enjoy good music. It made me want to meet each of you personally.

It was also interesting to see different personalities emerge ... those who stuck to 30 words on the dot, those who exceeded word count without even numbering, those who corrected my grammar. Smile. It was fascinating.

In a similar vein, I thought it would be fun for each of us to capture one thing going on in our lives with a Haiku poem. I used the standard 5 syllable first line, 7 syllable second line, 5 syllable third line.

eating all the time
new life growing inside me
bigger ev'ry day

Now it's your turn.

(P.S. Baby Gosselin arrives in December)
