Dorm room

Hi Boundless!

This is a photo of my dorm room here at Loma Linda University in Southern California.

I'm currently a student here in Occupational Therapy. I miss my family and friends back in Fresno, CA but I am so grateful and excited about being here :D

I often listen to Boundless podcasts here on my laptop on the weekends, and I am a daily reader of the Boundless Line.

Thank you for what you do! Boundless has been a wonderful resources for me (and my boyfriend) and I love telling people about you whenever I get the chance.

Victoria

LLU, I'm alumni!!!!!!! Did my Grad work in Speech/Language Pathology.

Are you by any chance SDA as well? I go to Azure Hills for Church.

2

Victoria,

This is so cool! I pass LLU whenever I go to visit my dentist. It's cool to know someone is listening to Boundless AND living in southern California.

3

Oh how cool. My little sister is going there soon, and I'm just a hop and a skip away at San Bernardino College while I'm on hiatus from university! Good to know there's cool peeps in San Bernardino County!

4

Greetings from a fellow Fresno transplant and current Loma Linda resident!

If you haven't found a church home yet, may I be so bold as to suggest Trinity EV Free (trinityonline.org). I am thriving there due to amazing Bible-based preaching and wonderful women's ministry.

5

I worked for the City of Loma Linda a few years back. It's a nice city! Especially the streets that I drew the plans for. :P

6

Hey, how did you get Holly's dorm furniture!?

7

You forgot to mention your amazing accountability partner, Rebekah. ;)

I'm also at LLU in the Psychology department.

8

Yay for dorm rooms with cemet block walls!

And greetings from the 210/15 Interchange...

9

DannieA - when I was in college I went to Azure Hills...on Sundays. My church rented it!

10

BDB....that's awesome....it's a cute church, as far as aesthetics go...I guess for me, I like the church community. Yes there is a young adult (Sabbath) school class but I've made friends across the ages...plus there is a ministry from our class that we mentor earliteen (tweeners ages 10-13) so they have someone they know in church.

Hey Lora, I don't know what street plans you made, but since I run with the Lopers (can't miss us...sunday mornings with neon pink) my feet thank you for the streets of Loma Linda ;)

Hi Everyone!
Wow, it's so neat to hear of other Boundless readers, especially in my area!

To DannielA:
I'm actually not SDA, but thank you so much for the church recommendations. My boyfriend and I attend a church in Garden Grove now. Oh and if you were speech path, then you were in Nichol Hall like I am! :)

To Rebekah in SoCAL:
Fresno? Nice :) Thanks, I did try Trinity once. Seems like a great church. I have a new church home for now, but thanks so much! It was a challenge finding one once I moved.

To Tom: hahaha. wow.....The only thing I changed was the upholstery on the chair!

Thanks again for your greetings everyone :)

12

Hi Victoria,

I find this funny and absolutely fitting that you would write one of the "I'm Here" posts. =) So cool!

Your friend,

Hayley

13

Yay for Apple laptops! :)

14

I remember dorm life... make the most of it and have fun!

15

YOu guys are lucky to have your own dorm room and not have to share. That's what I always pictured when I went to Life Bible now Life Pacific College in San Dimas for one semester back in 06'. I had a roommate but I wouldn't change that experience for the world. Your dorm room looks so inviting and clean. You must be a very clean person! Thanks for sharing, boundless rocks. Hope your years of school are soon coming to a close so you can move on with what God has called you to do. Blessings on you and your boyfriend! God Bless. : )

16

Victoria,

Oh no problem just thought I'd ask...there are a couple of SDA's that read boundlessline. I know that not all students that attend particular Universities are all members of that particular denomination. I'm prime example. I went to a Christian University in Texas for Undergrad but it was not an SDA one...it was Church of Christ...enjoyed the experience though.

Anyways as long as you have a nice and fullfilling church home that's really a great thing!!!!!!

ah yes Nichol Hall....memories memories memories. My home away from home during those grad years where I either worked or went to school.

17

Hey DannieA,

You're welcome for the streets! :P If I ever run into you guys I'll be sure and wave!

18

To Mishy:
I do have a roommate, this is just my half of the room ^_^ It's nice having a roommate. I come from a big family and I think that if I had a single, I wouldn't know what to do with myself and all that quiet o_O !

To DannielA: Cool :) Yeah, I am really enjoying my experience here at LLU. It's funny, I was taking a religion course on Loma Linda Perspectives, and our instructor (who is the school chaplain) was saying that Adventist people can tell who's not just by how they talk! lol

He said if you're not SDA you say "adVENtist" and if you are SDA you say "ADvenitst" hahah he's right!

19

You did a great job with decorating. Beautiful!!!

I'm in my third and last year at LLU right now! Love it here! I lived in Lindsay Hall two years ago. I love listening to Boundless when I need a good break from my homework. Glad to know that others do too :)

Cute dorm room! This makes me nostalgic for college life.
