Admittedly, it's hazardous to be reading Boundless while walking - one should pay attention to traffic.

Looks kinda like Rancho Cucamonga... lol

2

On the Blackberry! That would explain the ubiquity of your Boundless presence!

3

Yes, it looks like north inland San Diego - what freeway is that? Hello BDB :) I'm thinking you're 15 min from my work.

4

Saidahwk is remarkably perceptive.

Yes, a mobile device allows one, if they so choose, to utilize time that might otherwise be "wasted."

Some people use the time to read Twilight instead.

Incidentally, this was in response to the need for a more scenic picture than the first one. I almost sent the one with snow in the mountains. It's already 93°F (34°C) here this morning.

5

The freeway is the 210.

6

any pictures of socal make me smile a lot. Ok BDB, it's my turn to be more scenic, I'll send in more pictures as well. You've inspired me by using the unique beauty of socal...my home sweet home.

**tries to think of something scenic in Moreno Valley

How about a picture of the mall?

March AFB! (Try not to get arrested while taking a picture.)

8

BDB,

I'm going for a hike on the hills behind my townhome. I'll e-mail them later today. There is beauty out here too! LOL on the AFB comment.

Yeah and don't play with MoVal police, they take their job a little seriously....I always wondered why Moval was quiet at night when driving, then I found out that teenagers have a curfew and during the day if a cop sees a kid walking, they will pick them up and call the school and parent...talk about tough on juveniles.

9

@8 - Ah, yes. It sounds like they've "addressed" the gang problem.

10

Yeah I think it's worse in Riverside and Perris nowadays.

11

@8 - That's why I loved living in MoVal. Military towns tend to be a little more strict. :) You should also give Box Springs Mountain a try sometime, but I don't recommend hiking it alone as I (foolishly) did--there's red diamonback snakes.

And, BDB, you can still see the mountains. Must have been before the 100+ degree weather hit (bringing the usual thick smog). Am I right?

12

Let's see, today's high temperature was 105°F (41°C).

The mountains are only 3 miles (4.8km) away. But the air has gotten much cleaner over the last 20 years since they eliminated all the manufacturing jobs implemented the better fuel standards. There's almost never a smog alert anymore.

Fun fact: I once ran 4 miles during a smog alert, not understanding what it was. My lungs were in pain for days...

13

I forgot to say I can see the mountains today.

14

I think I've climbed that mountain almost a dozen times.
