My small group just finished Effective Stewardship. It's a 5 part series that takes a holistic look at our role as stewards in God's Kingdom. This week we have the host of Effective Stewardship, Dave Stotts on the Boundless Show. Dave's humor and sincerity really brought the Effective Stewardship series home for me. I think you'll see what I mean as he tells us a little about his other project Drive Thru History.

Our musical guest this week is justpassingthru. They're an idie band with a pretty eclectic style. You can check them out here.

Lives Changed II -- 00:00
Gary, Nima, and Devon join us again for part 2 of last week's testimony roundtable. This week we get to listen in as they continue to tell their stories. Gary even divulges a secret that only his wife knows. I don't know about you, but I love a good secret!

Driving Mr. Stotts -- 26:28
Stotts Dave Stotts sits down with Lisa to talk about his DVD series Drive Thru History. He tells us about how the whole thing started in while he was goofing off in an international airport. Dave shares his love for History and his heart to fill in the gaps that we didn't learn in History class.

Hi, Mom II -- 47:10
Lisa's Mom is with us again this week. I teared up listening to Mrs. Anderson talk about raising children on the mission field, losing her husband of 50 years, and her anticipation of the coming of our Lord. Mrs. Anderson ends Episode 66 by telling us that living the Christian life is worth it. There is something very reassuring about to me about a believer 60 years ahead saying "keep going; it's worth it." Thanks Dorthy.

My family and I absolutely love Drive Through History. Thanks for making it, Dave. It's such a blessing, and I so appreciate your humor.

Drive Thru History!!! That is *such* a great show. Really well done. If you haven't seen it I totally recommend it. It shows on some cable/satellite channels... including, on occasion, the History Channel!

I admit, the first time I turned it on, I expected something totally cheesy and lame, and... let's say, light on the history and heavy on... I don't know what. But, the history major in me insisted on watching and I got hooked. It is so cool to see the original sites (especially in Season 1... for example, in one episode he went to the sites of the churches mentioned in Revelation). Dave Stotts is funny -- and a tad corny in the best possible sense -- but he takes the history seriously, and he doesn't water things down or lace it in Christianese.

I also have to add that I first saw the show when I was going through a real rough patch in my life -- the show's combination of humor, history, and of course dedication to Christ really helped and encouraged me.

I haven't listened to the podcast in a while but I might have to this week! :)

Funny that the interview mentioning the founding of Rome should be aired the week Rome celebrated its birthday-- it turned 2762 years on 21 April. Yes, Mr Stotts, they do take it quite seriously here!

4

We have all the drive-thru history's. Actually, I'm in the middle of watching his most recent ones concerning American history. Absolutely fantastic work.
There's 7 of us in our family, ranging from age 8 to 52, and we all love this show!
Keep them coming, Dave!
