Focus on Marriage Event
by Steve Watters on 02/05/2009 at 9:10 AM

Okay, I realize this isn't going to be relevant for a lot of you, but I suspect many Boundless readers might be interested in a marriage event Focus on the Family is hosting at the end of this month. "Focus on Marriage" is scheduled for February 28th as a satellite simulcast with an estimated reach of 50,000. It will feature Gary Thomas, Beth Moore, Del Tackett, Gary Smalley, John Trent and Jeremy Camp. The emphasis of this conference is on seeing marriage through God's eyes. To that end, the event is going to have little in the way of tips and techniques and a lot in the way of developing a higher view of marriage.

Whether you're single (I'm always impressed when singles make it a point to attend a marriage conference) dating, engaged or married, I hope you'll consider participating in this unique marriage conference. You can find out more at www.FocusonMarriage.com

I suppose I am for it even though I am single. I mean, I give monthly support missionaries who are with Campus Crusade's "Family Life" ministry that runs those "Weekend to Remember" marriage encounter retreats. I don't see it as hurting my own cause either since I tend to be opposed to the divorce and remarriage option. I would like to see more seminars and retreats for single people though. It seems like there are some ministries out there that cater to either college kids or married couples but not singles.

Great teachers!!! Beth Moore! Gary Thomas!

I won't be going to this one... but I *did* previously go to a marriage conference. :)

Any unmarrieds on the fence about this, I encourage you to go.

If you don't want to go by yourself, go with your friends! And if people ask why you as an unmarried person have the interest/desire/temerity to go, tell them: "I want to know what I can do to have a great marriage *before* I get married."

God bless this event.

I would **LOVE** to go but my new husband just left for Iraq! Will this be an annual event?

I live near bismarck nd and there are no churchs in my area... Which is really to bad because I would love to go...
