Sex: Yes. Religion: Yes. Politics: Um.
by Ted Slater on 09/02/2008 at 12:36 PM

I enjoy talking about what our elected representatives are saying and doing. The policies they enact affect the world around me, and so I find myself intrigued by the political philosophies that drive such lawmaking, intrigued by the rhetoric, intrigued by the dynamic tensions between various candidates.

And this Presidential election cycle is perhaps the most fascinating one that I've ever witnessed.

Too bad we just can't talk about it.

For legal reasons related to our being a Christian ministry, we at The Line are just not able to discuss most things related to this election. When we do publish something political, we only do so after having the blog post thoroughly reviewed and approved by someone in our Legal department.

Furthermore, we are not able to publish most comments that say anything about this election. If you've named names, and sometimes even if you mention a particular political party, chances are that we're unable to publish your comment. Again, for legal reasons beyond our control.

As I've said, I'd love to chat with you about the dramatic things happening on the political field these days. But such a conversation just cannot take place on The Line.

Thanks for understanding.

If you'd like to leave a comment, we're afraid you'll have to use a non-mobile device to do so. I just couldn't get the mobile comment entry form to work right. Alas. ~Ted.
